Етелстан Сјајни
Етелстан Сјајни познат као и Етелстан Славни (староенглески: Æþelstan, Æðelstān, енг.Athelstan, Æthelstan, 883/895 – 27. октобар 939) је био енглески краљ.[3]

На престолу је, заједно са братом Елфеардом, наследио оца Едварда Старијег 924. Краљевство је подељено тако да је Етелстан владао Мершом, а Елфеард Весексом. Пошто је Елфеард убрзо умро Етелстан је преузео власт и над Весексом и тако постао владар целе Енглеске. Освојио је Јорк 927, напао Шкотску 934, а 937. је у бици код Брунанбурха поразио удружену војску Шкота, Брита и Викинга из Ирске.
Себе је сматрао краљем, чак и надкраљем целе Британије. Један је од седморице енглеских краљева крунисаних на крунидбеном камену у Кингстону. Умро је у Глостеру 27. октобра 939, а наследио га је полубрат Едмунд Величанствени.
