Rafael Lemkin
Rafael Lemkin, (polj. Rafał Lemkin; 24. jun 1900 — Njujork, 28. avgust 1959) bio je advokat poljsko-jevrejskog porijekla, najpoznatiji po kovanju riječi genocid i kao inicijator Konvencije o genocidu. Lemkin je skovao riječ genocid 1943. ili 1944. godine od riječi genos (grč. γένος — „porodica, pleme ili rasa”) i acidere (lat. accidere — „ubiti”).[1][2][3]
