Pasijans

Pasijans je žanr kartaških igara namenjen igranju jedne osobe.

Etimologija

Naziv potiče od francuske reči patience (izgovor pasijans u značenju strpljenje). U Severnoj Americi se, za razliku od izraza pasijans, koristi reč soliter (solitaire). Međutim, sama reč pasijans predstavlja totum pro parte jer se ona ne odnosi samo na kartaške već i na sve ostale igre za jednog igrača. Za kartaške igre se takođe koristi nepopularni izraz kartaški pasijans ili kartaroški pasijans.
